Norfolk & Norwich Scope Association (NANSA) is a local voluntary organisation, formed in 1954 to offer support for Norfolk people with cerebral palsy and associated disabilities.
The Association, changed its name from Norfolk & Norwich Spastics Association in 1995, and is affiliated to national Scope.
NANSA offers a range of services for people of all ages with cerebral palsy and associated disabilities. The Adult Resource Centre at 200 Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, offers vocational training, education and skills development courses for more than 50 adults with physical/learning disabilities.
In developing its family services initiatives NANSA has endeavoured to complement the services and activities of other local voluntary agencies. The Association works closely with charities such as Mencap, Downs Syndrome Association and Musical Keys through the Norfolk Special Needs Liaison Group to address wider disability issues.
