NANSA Youth Project
NANSA 11 – 14′s
NANSA Youth Project is a lively club, held on two Saturdays each month, for teenagers with physical/learning disabilities. Club members make friends and enjoy a wide range of activities ranging from computer games, cookery and craft projects through to shopping trips, bowling and other outings – the members set the agenda!
Personal care staff and facilities are available for all who require them, and experienced peer mentors and volunteers are able to offer friendly support for new members.
NANSA 15 – 17′s
This popular transition programme for young people aged 15 to 17 with physical/learning disabilities is also based at the NANSA Adult Centre but has a strong outreach element. Group members are offered separate and specific sessions which are designed to promote their independence and decision-making skills, in preparation for transition to adult life.
Group members are fully involved in setting the programme and they are supported by skilled group leaders, personal care staff, volunteers and experienced peer mentors.
Springboard
Springboard is a social group for young people aged 18 to 25 with learning/physical disabilities. This dynamic young group sets its own agenda of outreach activities with the aim of developing/enhancing their social networks and building self-confidence and personal skills in preparation for work and community life.
