Hours: 33 hours per week

Wage: £10.29 (£10.71ph from April 1st 2023)

Overview

The Retail Supervisor is a vital role in Nansa, raising essential funds and increasing public awareness of the charity’s work. They uphold our principles of integrity, empowerment and inclusion, and lead an active team of volunteers to create a welcoming and positive environment for customers. Able to identify new opportunities, they work closely with their volunteers, other retail staff and the retail manager to increase income and raise the profile of people with disabilities within their local community

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring sales targets are being met or exceeded.
  • Provide a safe environment at all times, report any health & safety, maintenance, security or similar issues to line manager
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of Nansa’s retail outlets; maintain security and ensure the outlets are clean and tidy with excellent presentation of stock.
  • Receive stock/donations and manage according to Nansa guidelines; sort and price stock; rotate stock and maintain stock levels as agreed with line manager.
  • Support volunteers appropriately in the daily operational tasks relating to the shop; ensure they are fully informed of policies, procedures, and work within them.
  • Keep volunteers informed and trained, and ensure they are able to carry out their roles safely and to Nansa standards; create a positive, inclusive working environment; keep volunteers fully informed on Nansa updates and promotions.
  • Promote Nansa at every opportunity and ensure the potential for Gift Aid is maximised with every donation received.
  • Attend any meetings or training as required.
  • To work in any of Nansa’s retail outlets and undertake any other related duties required by the Association.
