Sleep Service

Nansa’s Sleep Service supports families of children and young people with SEND, aged 0-25 years, who are experiencing ongoing sleep difficulties. This service is currently funded by the NHS Norfolk & Suffolk Integrated Care Board (ICB) and is provided FREE of charge to families (during term-time only).

Sleep and Additional Needs

Sleep difficulties are very common for children and young people with additional needs, and they can have a significant impact on the whole family. Poor sleep can affect a child’s health, behaviour, emotions, learning, and ability to take part in everyday activities. It can also leave parents, carers, and siblings feeling exhausted, making it harder to cope with daily life, work, school, and family relationships. We understand how challenging parenting a child with additional needs can be and recognise the difference that better sleep can make to the wellbeing and quality of life of the entire family.

Sleep support at Nansa

Nansa offers a tiered approach of support following an initial assessment of need. Support offered includes bespoke sleep programmes delivered through individual sleep clinics, group workshops, and an advice helpline. All support is delivered by highly skilled Sleep Practitioners trained through the Sleep Charity, which is a leading expert charity in sleep challenges.

We do not prescribe medications or conduct sleep studies – please contact your health care provider if this is required.
