Adult Service Activities volunteers
We would like to invite you to join us as an Activities Volunteer.
We are looking for regular Activities Volunteers to assist our service users to participate in the activities we run at the Adult Centre. Activities Volunteers usually come in on the same day and time every week, this consistent volunteering means our staff are able to plan activities weeks/months in advance. It also offers stability and routine for our service users with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
We run a wide variety of sessions and welcome volunteers who have an interest in Art, Music, Cooking, Drama, sports etc. Our Session Co-ordinators can identify any service user not engaging or who requires more help and direct the Activities Volunteer to assist. The adults also enjoy being out in the community and regularly go to the UEA Sportspark for swimming and boccia. We need Activities Volunteers Monday – Friday 9am – 2:30pm.
Our Link-Up and Milestones groups also are looking for energetic volunteers to help when out in the community or at the centre. Some of their activities include BBQ’s, Yoga, Quiz nights, rock climbing, Tubing, a day at the beach and lunch preparation. These sessions run on Saturdays, evenings and during school holidays.
We regularly have students volunteering who are studying Nursing, Psychology and Occupational Therapy. They use volunteering at Nansa as an opportunity to broaden their own knowledge and experience of people with disabilities.
Activities Volunteers can really enhance the brilliant service we already provide.
Safeguarding: To help protect our service users Nansa practices safer recruitment. Nansa is committed to an inclusive working environment, promoting equal opportunities in employment however due to the nature of the work involved applicants must be 18 or over.
Nansa is committed to the safeguarding of our beneficiaries and welfare of our staff, volunteers and partners. This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
We are looking for a small team of fundraising volunteers.
We need volunteers who can drive around Norfolk collecting our charity tins. These volunteers will collect and replenish charity collection tins recording where each has come from. Return them back to our Head Office in Norwich and help count the contents. They may also potentially find new locations for collection tins around Norfolk.
The team will work closely with our Fundraising Officer/Business Support Team. Volunteers will be reimbursed for mileage as they will be driving all around Norfolk.
If you are interested in becoming a fundraising volunteer please apply using the application form below and return it to email@example.com
Wroxham Barns/Kids Kiosk Volunteers
A new exciting type of volunteering at Nansa is coming. We have opened a “Kids Kiosk” at Wroxham Barns and supporting service users working in the shop and on the land. Please have a look at Wroxham Barns website: https://www.wroxhambarns.co.uk/
The outlet sells a range of pre-loved and donated children’s items (such as toys, clothing, games etc). Nansa will be supporting adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities to access opportunities working in a retail outlet. Here is the exciting bit, we will also be out working on the land with our clients.
Volunteers are needed Monday to Sunday in the shop and weekdays on the land. You can choose to volunteer in the shop only, outdoors only or a combination of both.
We would love applications from welly wearing animal lovers who want to make a difference to the lives of others. We would also like people with retail experience, but don’t worry we can give you training if you need it.
Volunteers need to be over 18 as they will be working with adults with disabilities. Volunteers will undergo a standard DBS check.
